12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Dear RHS Alumni In the last several years, the class of 1993 and those surrounding it have suffered a great deal of loss to our dangerous roads, drugs, alcohol and more. In these tragic times of losing our classmates, we have all struggled with how to make it stop. How do we put an end to this?? Well, I am writing this letter to you today, because the opportunity to help 2 fellow classmates has come. Aubree Durham Class of 1993 is married to James Servis Class of 1992. They have 5 amazing children and a marriage to admire. Aubree and James live in Virginia, where they are raising their family with high Christian Morals. However, over the course of the last year, they have been faced head on with Breast Cancer. Aubree was diagnosed with breast cancer last spring, and after undergoing a single masactomy they thought they were in the clear. As they continued on, the struggles of life continued as well. James was laid off of work, and is currently unemployed. They have very minimal health coverage. And now the cancer is back. They are facing this news with the most integrity you could ever imagine. Aubree refers to it as a “mind game”. She will not allow it to control her or her family environment. She continues to home school her 5 children, and provide a loving home, without allowing the negativity of cancer to come through their door! This is our opportunity to help a class mate in need. We are organizing a fundraiser to offset some of the costly treatment that her insurance will not cover. On March 14th, at 12:00 we would like to invite you to celebrate life. A Life without cancer! Soroptimist International of Ramona is hosting a Family Day at Dos Pico’s Park to Support Aubree, James and their family. Let this be a day to come together and stop the tragic loss of our friends! Tickets will be on sale; through a handful of your former class mates a $25.00 donation is requested. This donation will cover your lunch for the day and all proceeds go directly to the Durham – Servis Family. It is going to be a family filled day, with an opportunity to come together and help make a difference in the lives of 1 family who really needs it! The day will include music by former classmates, horse shoes, raffle’s and more. Bring Your fishing poles, hiking boots, and your families. We are looking forward to sharing a day at the park with you. For more information please contact Heather Bryant 760 580-0014 or Shelly Heimer (Armstrong) 619 743-8848
