Information a plus, presentation ... a little rusty.

I found some of the information provided in this book interesting and added to the already sour taste the UN (in action, not principle) leaves in my mouth. Regardless, this book is written in such a fashion that makes it often times a chore to get through. It took me about 3-4 weeks to get through it even though it is around 250 pages and rather large print. I found myself only getting through a few pages at a time.

The books presentation was rather odd and at times condescending. Each point followed with a giant "I TOLD YOU SO!" eventually begins to takes its toll chapter after chapter, an unnecessary add on that diminishes the impact of the point Eric Shawn is trying to project.

Overall, the additional information was often times helpful, but the style and tone could use some improvement to make it a more enjoyable and less cumbersome read.

Eric Shawn put together a well documented and well written book on REAL U.N. He exposes the excessive living expenses of the U.N.'s hyocrite, diplomats who live in practically the lap of luxury in the very country, America, they constantly "stab in the back." All the while never wanting to leave the USA to return to their dictator led, impoverished countries. That's only a small part he exposes about the U.N. This book is a must read for all who are interesed in world affairs. It really gives you an inside look into the gross politics that goes on inside the U.N. that makes it the useless, social club organization that can only make weak resolutions and never see that they are carried out!

This book is written for people who want their existing political view reinforced, if you want information rather than have episodes that support a given view cherry picked from a mountain of data, look else where.
