Londons Falling
Londons Falling is a progressive punk band from San Diego, CA that originated from the hills and valleys of Ramona, CA in 2001. The members currently consist of Kevin White (lead vocals & guitar), Travis Dahl (lead guitar), Nick Rodney (bass) & Brant Bolton (drums). To date, the band has released 3 full length albums, 2 EPs, & 1 single through the small indie based label, Rodeo Records, and have contributed to 2 compilations releases through East Village Records. The bands music stems from an eclectic selection of influences containing elements of blues, classic rock, hardcore punk and alternative rock while layering lyrical imagery spanning between personal affliction and social consciousness.

I was a little worried at first that this documentary would be biased and propagandize for something that I do not believe in. I was pleasantly surprised, however, by what I saw. Karl Hess and Murray Bookchin were previously unknown to me but I appreciated their perspective. The link between libertarianism and anarchism is explored and gave me something to think about. Previously, I never understood the anarchic libertarians I knew but I now have newfound respect for their perspective. That Hess associated with Murray Rothbard was a point in his favor as was the director going to a Libertarian Party convention in the late seventies when it was filmed. Lastly, the eschewing of violence here is something everyone should take note of.
A complete experience - perfect for all your agitprop needs ;)

Seriously - not only is this whole DVD informative and inspiring, it is ENTERTAINING, with great music and a variety of visual clips, especially in the first film, "Anarchism in America" - this DVD is perfect for beginning crucial dialogue around what anarchy IS, what it ISN'T, how it compares to libertarianism, how it embraces or doesn't embrace violence, AND MORE. This DVD does NOT come down with ONE idea of what anarchism is, either. This DVD is crucial for creating an informed and clear ANALYSIS, something we desperately need as we strive to live our ideals.

Gangbuster documentary with some priceless historic film of key figures in the history of American anarchism, e.g., Emma Goldman. Funny beginning, almost a "Reefer Madness" approach, then it gets pretty serious, but always informative, never dull, and filled with interviews of some very unique people throughout the U.S., some famous, some not.
Highly recommended!
